PROJECT  2A

HAZAZI GROUP AD3 P2A (1).jpg

In Task 01, we are to conduct historical research on a site, compiling literature, images, and videos. we extract the macro site's essence, presenting it in a 6-12 slide presentation with a 3-minute video. Task 02 involves collecting data on macro and micro sites, presenting it on 5-10 A3-size sheets. Task 03 requires scale drawings, including site plans, sections, and a 1:500 scale model, presented on 2-4 A1 boards.video journeys.

We went to kampung morten to collect data for the site including the tangibles & intangibles . Measurements were then listed put cadded into plans & map for further research and using in project 2B . Models of the site were also created for better visualization of efficiency use of area for a discovery center .

: Reflection :

Embarking on the journey to Kampung Morten was an enlightening experience that enriched my understanding of site analysis and project preparation. Delving into the tangible and intangible aspects of the site provided a comprehensive foundation for Project 2B. As we meticulously measured and documented the site, I realized the importance of attention to detail in capturing the essence of the location.

The process of listing measurements and translating them into CAD plans and maps was both challenging and rewarding. It not only honed my technical skills but also instilled a sense of discipline in maintaining accuracy. This meticulous documentation laid the groundwork for further research and analysis, setting the stage for the subsequent project phases.

Creating models of the site was a pivotal aspect of our exploration. These models not only facilitated a clearer understanding of the spatial dynamics but also allowed us to visualize the efficient utilization of the area for a discovery center. The hands-on experience of constructing these models added a tactile dimension to our learning, bridging the gap between theory and practical application.

In retrospect, the fieldwork at Kampung Morten was a vital step in grounding theoretical knowledge into a real-world context. It emphasized the importance of thorough site analysis, accurate measurements, and thoughtful visualization in the architectural design process. As I move forward into Project 2B, I carry with me not just data and measurements but a newfound appreciation for the intricacies of site exploration and the transformative potential of design.
